The slab you have
Cured 7 days minimum
Bare concrete, whatever the last twenty years did to it. Everything after this depends on what it actually is, not what the drawing says.

Moisture test
ASTM F2170 · read at 72 h
Probes go into the slab and nobody opens a pail until they read. Concrete looks dry on top and holds water deep — coat over it and the floor blisters off from underneath.

Grind and blast
ICRI 310.2 · CSP 4–6
Shot blast or diamond grind until the laitance, the curing compound and every old coating are gone. Acid etching is not preparation. This is the step that decides whether the floor stays down.

Repairs and keyways
Cut, never feathered
Cracks routed and filled, spalls patched, joints honoured. Saw-cut keyways at every perimeter, drain and doorway, because urethane cement has to terminate into a cut — feather an edge and it lifts.

Prime
6–8 mils · squeegee and back-roll
Moisture-tolerant primer, squeegeed out and cross-rolled. Not optional and never skipped, whatever the schedule looks like.

Body coat
3/16″–3/8″ · continuous wet edge
Urethane binder and graded aggregate, mixed on site and placed to depth. The wet edge never stops moving — let it catch up with itself and you have a cold joint in the floor forever.

Broadcast
To refusal
Aggregate thrown into the coat while it is still wet, until the surface will not take another grain. Swept and vacuumed back once it cures.

Seal and cure
10–12 mils · 48–72 h to service
Grout and seal coat lock the aggregate down and set the final texture. Foot traffic overnight; trowelled mortar wants two to three days before the forklifts come back.

Double-broadcast colored quartz for slip resistance and impact strength that reads as a finished floor.
Flake systems
Vinyl chip broadcast in any blend. Hides wear and traffic marks — shops, showrooms, locker rooms.
Epoxy terrazzo
Ground and polished aggregate in resin. Decades of service life for lobbies, concourses and schools.
Polished concrete
Diamond grind and densify the slab you already have. Lowest lifetime cost, no coating to recoat.

Midwest, East Coast and South — on your shutdown
We are a veteran-owned crew working out of Chicagoland across the Midwest, the East Coast and the South — warehouses and distribution centers, production floors, dealership service bays and aircraft hangars. Over 350,000 sq ft placed, and the biggest constraint on almost every job is not the resin but the calendar: floors go down on nights, weekends and shutdowns so the building keeps running.
Because we manufacture our own epoxy and run our own grinders, a mix can be adjusted on site and three overnight shifts can run back to back without waiting on a supplier. Prep is where a floor fails or lasts, so most jobs start with diamond grinding, joint filling and whatever concrete repair the slab actually needs — not with a finish coat.
